Causes for celebration

Several years ago, a good friend embarked on a new career as a psychologist. Thanks to his loving and dedicated wife and family, who saw him through, he is now officially a Doctor. Even better, he’s started a great blog with wonderful information for the lay person. Check out Pasadena Therapist and bookmark it for future reference.

Up next: watch this video to see my daughter’s summer school teacher, Mr. Auld, who is schooling them in how to built teepees, pyramids and miniature replicas of Stonehenge for a class entitled, “historical architecture.” Judging by this performance, the class should probably be called “hysterical architecture.” Right on Mr. Auld!

Finally, Evan has figured out how to get out of the tub by himself. This discovery came over the weekend when I looked from the kitchen to the hallway to see him walking, butt naked and dripping wet, from the bathroom to his room. Way to go Evan. As Gloria put it, “This is not the baby I first started taking care of!”

Next in line: I’m hoping little T., a fellow preschooler with an equally mischievious heart, will teach him how to unplug the answering machine, the way he does at his house.

Well, hip hip hooray indeed!! A distinguished nod to the Doctor for his meaningful blog, and for the courage to change course mid-stream. As for Mr. Auld, there is indeed still hope in the world if there’s still teachers who can booga-loo with his kids like he does through historical and hysterical architecture alike. And last but not least, well done, Evan, there’s nothing like being able to rise out of the water, buck naked and dripping wet, on your own!

    Hi Vicki,
I was delighted and surprised to read your entry this morning. So nice to think of myself as “loving and dedicated” and to also be reminded of Kalea’s achievements! So nice. You’ve made my day. Thank you!

I’m looking forward to seeing the hysterical architecture. We all need more of that.

Exciting to hear about Evan’s new tube adventures! He never ceases to amaze.
